In 2014, Sheryl Sandberg was working at Google, Google was already a huge company. In her book 'Lean In' she describes having gone through a difficult pregnancy. And found walking to be challenging due to changes. After struggling for a bit, she reached out to the founders and announced 'that preganancy parking was a need' What Google had suffered here was a Data gap. Since Google's male founders and Sandberg had never been pregnant before they had not realised the gap. Google could and should have been actively looking to fill this gap. But reality is it takes a senior woman for problems like these to be fixed.
